then we moved onto graphite pencil (2B) with longer poses. these were hard to photograph since they were so light. the last one's 10 min since we ran out of class time.

forshortening. the most difficult to draw by far. and it's kinda strange looking. it is when you're looking down or up the major axis of something, in this case, the body itself, or the limbs. this model is super skinny and fit, with a very muscular body. she's either a gymnast or an acrobat. she lay on a mattress propped up w/several stage boxes and we had to move to either to her head or feet end so we can get the forshortening effect at near eye level.
