we put in landmarks on our figures - back: 7th cervical, scapula, spine for center line, posterior superior iliac spine (PSIS), sacral dimples. front: pit of the neck (artist term, can't remember what the anatomical term was, in spite of my anatomy lab back in college and the fact that the teacher mentioned it), 12th or 13th rib, navel, anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS).

then we did contour lines showing directions of the cylindrical form. i had to think about the directions of these hypnotic lines...
